William J. Romanos, III, B.S.Acc., J.D. with Honors. Bill Romanos is a corporate and securities attorney and counselor with experience in all types of corporate transactions, from transactions involving small businesses to large initial public offerings and private placements as well as mergers and acquisitions, and spin-offs and divestitures, involving hundreds of millions of dollars per transaction. Mr. Romanos earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Fisher School of Accounting at the University of Florida, was on the Dean's List of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, and also earned his Juris Doctor with Honors from the University of Florida. Mr. Romanos previously gained experience working in a litigation law firm as well as transactional law firms where he worked under a former SEC Trial Attorney and Special Counsel. In addition to his private practice, Mr. Romanos also has served as an executive officer, VP for Legal Affairs and General Counsel to aerospace companies.
Mr. Romanos has lectured and published educational materials on Internet and E-commerce law and business, and corporate and securities law, for other attorneys and the general public, and has published several articles concerning the Internet, intellectual property, and securities law. He has also authored regarding e-commerce, patent law, and litigation, including, a book chapter on E-commerce published by the Florida Bar/Lexis-Nexis in Florida Small Business Practice (5th ed. 2004).
He is active in the the local community. He has previously served on the Board of Directors and as Secretary for the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc., a 13,000+ acre park, one of the largest and most admired and pristine in Florida. He is also a member of the respected Economic Forum of the Palm Beaches and the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches, and a past member of a Venture Capital Club.
Mr. Romanos has also previously been a licensed real estate sales person with Award Business Brokers FL, Inc. and Apex Business Brokers, Inc. He also passed the Florida real estate broker exam and was a broker-associate commercial and industrial real estate brokerage in Palm Beach County, Florida. He also is a Managing Director with a Michigan-based investment banking and advisory firm. He is President and owner of Romanos Realty Group, Inc., a real estate and business brokerage company, and has served as a director for an international fishing lodge development company with dealings in the Caribbean and Central America. He is a member of the Florida Bar and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
